Good, you can use Qiagen Plant kits for your DNA extraction.

It is simple and reliable. And cost effective.

For fungal isolates, Quick-DNA Fungal/Bacterial Microprep Kit from Zymo Research works well and is relatively cheap.

For fungi you can use almost all the kits made for plants. I have tried several of them and they work in many kind of samples.

The The DNeasy Plant Mini Kit from Qiagen is probably the best one: it is easy and you have good quantity and good DNA to be used for any purpose. They have different kits to be used also with robots or depending on the amount of sample to start with. But the price is a bit high compared to others.

The Quick-DNA Fungal/Bacterial Microprep Kit from Zymo Research works also well but, it recommends to use beta-mercaptoethanol, which I prefer to avoid.

There are also really fast kits as the Extract-N-Amp™ Plant PCR Kit from Sigma-aldrich (now Merk), that only takes 15 minutes to have DNA extracted (I have used it for pure fungal cultures and for fungi on roots and leaves, and then for PCR, real-time PCR, sanger sequencing, pyrosequencing and illumina sequencing without problems) and works really well, specially if you have thousands of samples. You have different presentations (only to extract DNA or also with PCR reagents, red taq for PCR, Sybr-green for Real time...)
