Hi, does anyone have any experience with GPS tag provided by Wildlife Computers Inc.? Concretely model Splash10-F or Spot 272A. Im considering to choose one of this model and attach it directly on carapace, because I would like to avoid to use harnesses. Thanks for any comment or advice.

Check out NOAA's SWFSC website - they discuss why they prefer a harness, but also mention their work with J. Harvey at Moss Landing Marine Labs to use suction cups to attach telemetric packages. Though I cant image they remain on the turtle for long. Check it out:

Dear Dr. Oxman, thanks for reply. About the harnesses, I read some articles mentioning negative impact on behavior, such as diving and speed swimming. So thats why I would like to use directly attached trasnitters. But for sure I will check out your link. And about a cups, they are using cups just for short time monitoring. If I know well the cups remaining on carapce maximally few days or less.
