In general, you can use real-time plates in a regular PCR machine, but can't do the reverse.
Most real-time machines require a certain type of 96-well plate (e.g. semi-skirted). Check the manufacturer website for suggestions. Most real-time machines read the samples from above, so it doesn't matter if the plate is clear or semi-opaque. As Vladimir Kataev says, it's essential to use an optically transparent film to seal the plates. And make sure you wear gloves so you don't get fingerprints on the sealing film!
