I have information regarding the correlation between algae (phytoplankton) composition and shrimp culture productivity. The conclusion of this not yet published research is that low productivity will occurred only in ponds with high composition of cyanobacteria. Is there someone who work related this subject and got the same result?

Agus, since you are at IPB, one contact you should have on this is Dr. Wa Iba of Halu-Oleu University in Kendari has been working on growth and survival of larval Litopenaeus vannamei using Indonesian isolates of phytoplankton. Your result is expected since cyanobacteria could release toxic components that could directly affect shrimp survivor. This trend can be observed in several aquatic communities. Maybe you can find publications on ecotoxicology field, testing the effects of the cyanotoxins on biological communities and then, justify your findings.
