Can a malignant tumor spread to other tissues just after one division? Or do they need to divide more to spread to other tissues?
It might be possible. But when a single cell becomes "malignant tumor" the cells might have undergone multiple divisions by that time..!!
Thanks but since mostly cencer cells travel via blood stream and it takes some time for angiogenesis near tumor.
If I understand correctly, you asked whether malignant tumor cells need to divide in order to spread to other organs/tissues. The answer is may be. Because the ability of malignant tumor cells to migrate from one organ/tissue to other depends upon multiple factors, including the tumor micro-environment (neovascularization and hypoxia etc.) and the expression of certain proteins in tumor cells, it is likely that tumor cells in a microenvironment that is not supportive of further cell proliferation(s) move (metastasize) to other organ/tissues.
