There are no hard and fast rules as to which solvent should be used for nanoparticles biosynthesis however, keeping the term green synthesis in mind, it is advisable to cut out the use of any unwanted chemical during nanoparticle biosynthesis. Due to this fact, water is considered to be the most suitable solvent for making plant extract.

i had not found any research paper that says ethanol can be used for extraction of plant for the purpose of making nano particles. If you know any procedure of alcohol extraction, please let me know
