I'm in implementation phase on my thesis. But I'm in real trouble now. After downloading the codes of my reference papers, I was trying to study them to understand. but can't understand anything. So, I bought a book about basic knowledge of MATLAB. But I couldn't understand most of the things either.
Now I'm totally lost and afraid that, I'll not be able to complete my thesis in time. So, anyone can please help me with this, it will be grateful for me.
So, if there is any good tutorial book about MATLAB for beginner's, please let me know.
Or, if there is any alternative software to do simulation of massive MIMO for 5G, also please let me know.
By the way, I'm trying to implement a scheduling algorithm to massive MIMO antennas for connecting UEs and evaluate their performances.

Since you started working on MATLAB, I think it is better for you to stay working on it instead of looking for alternatives. In fact, MATLAB is an easy software to deal with. Also, you can find lots of information in the MATLAB help center. Moreover, you can ask about everything you face in MATLAB here or in the MATLAB community.

Your problem can be solved if you just follow the help center of MATLAB. You don't need to read full book but just need to read the explanation of the function you want to use. there are good examples in the help center.
You may try Octave Software. Which is an open-source software very similar to MATLAB.
Yes, Scilab will do you good as a beginner.
Just try a demo version to see how flexible it is and if you have some difficulties don't hesitate to inform me.

I will like to say that you will finish your thesis writing in good time. However, you must learn from the rudiment of MATLAB especially by studying the help section of MATLAB software. Remove your anxiety and win taking a step after the other. All the best.
Yes, Matlab is easy if you take away fear, but then Scilab is an alternative to Matlab and is open-source software. The syntax with Matlab is almost the same with Scilab. As a beginner starting with Scilab and with the time you can switch over to Matlab. With Scilab, you can solve all the Matlab Mathematical and graph-related problems. I am highly efficient in programming with the two. So I recommend Scilab for beginners.

You can use python numpy also. Apart from that scilab is one option. Another option is octave.
