Il-6/sIL-6r compound plays as pro-inflammatory while Il-10 plays as anti-inflammatory. But there's a connection between these two cytokines. Some evidence says that Il-6 increase IL-10 production and some others say sIL-6R has positive relation with IL-10.

But Il-6 has two different form of activation. One is associated with soluble receptor (pro-inflammatory) and another is with membrane bound receptor (anti-inflammatory).

I want to know is there any results which shows the difference between IL-10 expression induced by sil-6r and membrane bound il-6r and also about the role of corticosteroid in expressions? Can anyone help?

Thank you.
