I am planning to compare two dendrograms or the result of two hierarchical clusterings to determine their degree of similarity. I generated the dendrograms using pvclust package in R. Is there an R package that can compare the resulting dendrograms in order to assess their degree of similarity by providing a measure of similarity based on their number of clusters or membership similarity between clusters?
Any suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The dendextend package offers several options to compare dendrograms. https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/dendextend/vignettes/introduction.html
Additionaly, it is compatible with pvclust and other packages.
