I'm looking for an implementation in R of Hierarchical Topic Modeling processes. I've found an implementation in C of hLDA (https://github.com/Blei-Lab/hlda) but I was looking for its version in R so that I could embed it in the rest of my scripts. Any idea? Thanks in advance!
Eliardo, yes I already use "topicmodels" library but it doesn't implement hLDA as far as I know, only standard LDA.
There is another package for structural topic models "stm". Not sure if that is closer to what you need or not.

I haven't found any. However, I've developed an alternative algorithm to generate hierarchical structures of topics, combining LDA, hierarchical clustering and simple linear regression. You can find more about it in the attached conference paper. The algorithm will be described more thoroughly in an upcoming journal paper, to appear early in 2016.

Dear colleagues, to my knowledge, there is no package in R that allows hLDA. The Gruen/Hornik topicmodels package does not offer it, and stm builds on this package. R is not the most suitable environment for topic modeling, because it is slow. The Gensim module in Python offers hLDA, but I have not tried this feature yet.
Any news on this? I found an R package called hdp that claims to do the trick but the documentation is a bit confusing
