Most widely used method to determine electron transfer is to sensitize the reference materials (such as Al2O3, ZrO2, SiO2 etc) with qds or dye .The assumption here is that there is no electron transfer because of the large band gap in these materials. But there are reports that these materials have very fast deep trap or intraband gap electron transfer.
So, I want to find out, if there is any way to figure out the electron transfer in QD(Quantum dots) or Dye /MO(Metal oxide) NPs (using transient abs or PL decay) without using reference materials.
Any suggestions, ideas or reference paper will be a great help
