I would like to find the surface area of various metal oxides at different temperatures for comparison. But analysis of BET surface area is time consuming. So, I would like to know if there is some way to get a rough estimate of surface area to see what is the best support material.
No, it is not possible as such. But you can compare your material composition and preparation method with the reported ones to have an idea of the range of your synthesized material surface area.

BET has been proven incorrect. If you use it, you may be satisfied psychologically think you have the number for the surface area, but you don't.
To obtain the amount in a monolayer, plot the amount adsorbed versus the quantity -ln(-ln(P/Pvap). The slope is the amount of a monolayer and the abcsissa intercept yields the quantity -ln(-Eads/RT). If your powder is more complex than an non-porous, homogeneous sample then the same plot is used but it is, of course, more complex as well.
