Hi Carl,

Thanks for your reply. I was thinking of using the framework elaborated in the Waterman paper (see attached). However, in relation to a health care setting, I have tried to devise something along the lines of framework described in two other papers (Bennett, Kekana, Mbinyo). I believe it incorporates all the essence of intrinsic motivation as proposed by Deci and Ryan as described in my paper.

I tried designing the questionnaire, but it is a little tricky. Any advice?

They have links to some research, and I have adapted the measures that they provide (for free) for my own work. I think this might be useful to you. Please let me know if this is, or is not, what your were looking for (if not, I may be able to direct you elsewhere).

The framework would probably be based on qualitative method. A possible way is to search for an example of validated questionnaire to test the scale of motivation.

This is my suggestion. Hope it helps you with your quest.

Thanks for your feedback Eswaran. Unfortunately, there are not fixed or validated questionnaire for 'intrinsic' motivation. There are lots of those for general motivation assessments.

I have already designed one and I am on the verge of testing it out but need to confirm if it is sound more a psychological point of view.
