I conducted the validation of a scale into another language and it seems to mirror the findings of the original and other international results. However, I was not able to conduct a construct validity due to the non-availability of other tools in that language. Can I publish the preliminary results of this study? If the answer is no, how best can I salvage these results?

I have validated a stress questionnaire to the Sri Lankan context. It was originally in English language and what I first did was adopt it to the Sri Lankan context using forward-backward translation method. Then since it was stress and no Gold standard was available I couldn't go for criterion validity( If you have a gold standard criterion validity can be achieved). There is lit suggesting that if you cannot achieve criterion validity you can still validate it using triangulation method meaning involving several validation techniques. I achieved judgemental validity and construct validity. Judgemental validity was achieved through face content and consensual validity using modified Delphi technique and construct validity was achieved using factor analysis ( exploratory and/or confirmatory). Thus you dont need a similar tool for validation ( consensual validity). If there are no tools you can still acheive validity as above.
