I don't know your drying polymer structure but can you use another polymer film as substrate? Also check for any change under cross polarized setup in a microscope to see whether there is any qualification of stress in the images, that could make your life easier.

Thanks for reply.Its basically acrylatic polymer paints that undergoing stress development. Polymer substrate can be used but due to crosslinking of plane stress in film,these stresses might interact with chains of substrate and alter the overall stress value.

Matweb is good source of information on material properties. You will get modulus and CTE values for all the materials you listed there. However they all have E values that will be 2 orders of magnitude greater than a polymer. Have you thought of using silicone? I'd guess it wouldn't cross link with an acrylic.

Thanks for your input.I am currently going with Fused Silica due to its low cte and reflective properties.The lowessr possible thicknessof substrate is 0.1mm thick.The thickness of film coated will be around 30-110micrometers.
