I want to check conserved post-translation sites (in my case acetylation sites) in a given protein between human and yeast sequences. I guess there are bioinformatic tools available, I would thank if you could highlight the best ones!
Right, thanks. I am diving a bit throught different perdiction tools available online, additionally is there any software that you use to detect evolutionary conserved sites between species (in my casa yeast to human), and for the case of acetylated sites
My experience is limited mostly to protein biochemistry, so I can't offer much help. I am aware that there is a taxonomy alignment tool, which I think is available through PubMed -- try the Homologene function.
