Look into the design of RC shells around the elevators. Depending on the loading both bending stresses and shear stresses have to be considered in the design of the shear walls.

If you have RC shear wall subjected to bi-axial moments and normal force, you can use ACI-318  design aids bi-axial interaction diagrams (see attachments)
