I’m trying to elicit LTP in amygdala (LA). I’m using cortical stimulation and used different protocols. 2Hz stim paired to +30mV depolarization 280 pulses, or 80pulses, 100HzX3, 100HzX5.

External 2mM Ca 2mM Mg , picrotoxin and K gluconate as internal.

I’m seeing either LTD or nothing (no potentiation) .

Are they some tricks (e.g. making cuts in the slices), that are not described in the papers that can help me to see potentiation? I have perfect slices, perfect cells, no changes in my access resistance over time...It just a perfect nothing (see attached file).
