I had worked in berseem and cowpea but on heat stress and salicylic acid. You may find cross references in these two MS. These are avialble at R Gate. Regards
I found this paper, http://download.springer.com.proxy.lib.iastate.edu/static/pdf/618/art%253A10.1007%252Fs10535-013-0322-4.pdf?auth66=1425057908_147c4c501ab4dc86937d5eca2a686969&ext=.pdf
I have M.Sc. and PH.D. STUDENTS WHO WORKED ON THE USE OF SALICYLIC ACID TO IMPROVE SALINITY TOLERANCE IN OLIVE,TOMATO AND SUNFLOWER,BUT THE PRINCIPLE IS THE SAME AND THERE IS EXCELLENT LITERATURE ON S A.
if you would like to determine salicylic acid in plant tissues, then you could use either gas chromatography-mass spectrometry,or you could use HPLC. However, if you would like to determine SA in commercial products, then the very simple method is spectro photometric method using ethanol (96%) as a solvent at 303nm.
