Is there a method to biotinylate Toxoids (Formaldehyde treated)?

Toxoids are often generated by exposing Toxins to Formaldehyde. This renders amino and thiol groups inaccessible for the usual biotinylation reagents. Is there any method that is still able to achieve a high degree of biotinylation of a formaldehyde-treated protein?

Check for the other reactive/slow reactive functional group for attachment. Can start with any functional group that is available and is prone to be activated for formaldehyde based reactions, some of the might not be straight adduct, so think over well, plan and strategise!
