Dear all,
I am evaluating applications for a postdoc position and received applications from "Deemed-to-be" universities, which seems to be a category of institutions of higher education in India. I'm unfamiliar with them and not sure how to treat them in relation to "regular" universities. Can someone help me?
The Wikipedia page about them (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deemed_university) did not really help me. If someone has experience with researchers from these institutions, I would appreciate your advice. If you do, please include what your experience is.
