I want to know if there is any value for TBARS expressed in terms of mg MDA/kg sample, based on which the cooked meat, barbecued or grilled meat sample can be classified as acceptable or unacceptable.
Max. permissible limit of TBARS value is 2.0 mgMDA/Kg of sample while you are following extraction method protocol (Witte et al., 1970) and for distillation method (Tarladgis et al., 1960) it seems to be accepted up to 1.0mg MDA /kg sample.
