It does not seem to me that there is a new concept of applied Ethics, there may be a change of orientation in the object of study to the same extent that new problems have arisen, but the foundations of this science are not changing. I do not say that I cannot change, but its categorical apparatus, its laws and principles have absolute validity. It is my modest opinion on this subject. I am willing to continue exchanging on this in the strictest respect for different opinions.
Any invention posing threat to the humanity or intervention at the cost of human values isn't futuristic and would be detrimental to the future of applied ethics.
What's the timeline? If humans were to evolve into an insectlike species over some millions of years, for example, their professed ethical principles might become radically different or even nonexistent. Otherwise, at least insofar as we remain homo sapiens, I concur with Juan Manuel Montero Peña .

Use of unethical means or abuse of means or disregard of the nature might have resulted into the outbreak of coronavirus.
