many years ago, Prof. Thomas Miller at the University of California at Riverside created a very nice and complete website devoted to insect physiology. You could find there all kind of useful stuff, information, illustrations, didactical material, laboratory guides, practicals, etc. I cannot find it anymore in the web, but it could have evolved (repository?).
