In a very simple 1D wave propagation numerical model we coded, which includes only wind generation and white capping, we observe a strong dependence of the resulting spectrum on the spatial resolution keeping the CFL number constant. This appears to be caused by the nonlinear character of the source terms. Is this documented somewhere? Are there criteria to make sure the physics is solved appropriately?
