I want to measure total protein amount from plant extract using Qubit device. However, the user manual for the Qubit protein assay kit contains the following statement and no explanation has been made about the plant: Heart, lung, kidney, spleen, brain, liver, thymus, and smooth muscle tissues have all been successfully extracted with this protocol.It also mentions that the kit does not tolerate detergents. I But I must use some detergents to extract plant material.

Depends on what buffers you are using for extarciton and what additives you have in them. Have a look at the compatibility of the individual components with Qubid and what is the highest conc it can tolerate. If you have detergent for example would be better to use BCA which can tolerate higher concentration of detergent.
A quick way to determine if your buffer interferes with the quant assay is to just measure the buffer. Should have little or no signal on it's own.

I wanted to try it because it looked like the most practical method was to use measurement with Qubit.

Can have ay look at the compatability chart for Triton X and Qubit but I think it's pretty low, below 0.01% final concentration (maybe even lower). BCA on the other hand allows up to 5% Triton X
