I think they should. It would allow a more expansive source of information, there are a lot of research/theories on language and acquisition to be obtained and understood in English. Besides that, mastery of the language will enable better communication and ability to deliver/share knowledge by the students themselves.
English is classified as the world's first language among the world's languages, and the need to meet it is necessary. If the researcher does not benefit from it in his studies, he will actually need to publish his research to define it within the level of global publishing.
So I think it is necessary to have an examination of competence with some standards for the specialization of humanitarian studies.
