The HRA is an approach widely used in the past for the assessment of the human factor in the safety of the nuclear plants. In your opinion, opportunely changed the models to evaluate it, is it possible to focus this method on the assessment of the stress in the production environment, using for example methods such as the system dynamics or others?
When I worked in a factory, we all knew that Monday was a bad day: most traumatic accidents happenned on Mondays, probably, because people got out of everyday's routine, lost concentration, etc. So generally, human factor in nuclear plants and in stressful work in the production environment should play similar role. About the methods used to study the role of the human factor - I am not certain. Every sound method based on good intuition, coommonsense and confirmed by field data is good enough.

I defenitely agree with you, but the main problem in the actual international literature is the lack of field data confirmation and moreover no particular quantitative approach is present nowadays. Could this be the point?
This is certainly the central point. A model could be invented, changed, adapted and cetera, but the data must be original. If they exist, then probably in very special areas, perhaps in areas closed for general public.
Now the problem is the size of the data set that has to be collected, considering the environmental variables, the technical variables, the psychological variables and the ergonomic variable. The point is to design in the right way the experiments in the shops to block some variables and measuring only few. But which are the main variables to be measured?
You ask one million $ questions. Here is what comes to my mind
The output variable (responce) might be the probability to fillfull the "action" / mission without failure. The input might be: the age of the operator, experience, stress level, duration of the mission, mental state, physical state, presence of obstacles during the mission, etc.

But what is the benefit of this adaption? There are many tested methods to to investigate stress/strain, what does HRA add?
It would be a new way to test not just the stress of the workers, but the reliability of the workers in a manufacturing environment. Many times in the past HRA was used in cognitive environment, while we would like to investigate the impact of the human reliability on the general reliability of a production system, considering it as a part of the system and not just an user of the system.
I think that should be possible. There are probably already good adaptions for mantainance work in nuclear prower plants that has more similarities to "classical production" than the control room team operators work you probably have in mind.
Exactly, could you suggest me any paper about the maintenance issues in the nuclear power plants using the HRA?
I don,t konw a specific paper(I only had to do with control room teams) but I am shure there are IAEA safety requrements for such HRA in maintainance work. I would search on the IAEA homepage for such papers or directly ask them.
