Drug repurposing consist of finding new indications for marketed drugs or highly characterized compounds despite they can be failed drugs. Therefore, if the natural compound falls in this two groups can be repurposed.

Drug repurposing may suitably be tried with molecules derived from plants. The source of molecule hardly matters.
