Is the chasing for the impact factor stressful?
Yes too mee!
Chasing any material things, including humans, are pretty stressful.
Yes it is stressful
I do not think so.
There are many indicators of quality.
An impact factor refers to a journal, not to any papers or authors.
An impact factor says absolutely nothing about the quality of any paper in a journal.
Only citations matter in terms of determining quality of papers.

My German is not strong, so I will have to rely on Google:
Höhere Einflussfaktoren werden bevorzugt, aber sie beziehen sich immer noch auf Zeitschriften.
Aus diesem Grund werden sie Journal-Einflussfaktoren genannt.
Higher impact factors are preferred to lower, but they still refer to journals.
This is why they are called journal impact factors.
Michael gutes Deutsch und noch bessere antwort. Danke!
Du bist zu lieb.
To Ellen:
Whatever your goal might be, you can only do your best.
That in itself constitutes a successful achievement.
yes
It should not be that stressful! Just do your best and your hard work will pay off and take you to higher limits and help you achieve your goals.
My boss dont tink so...
An Impact Factor relates solely to journals?
