Regarding your inquiries,  there are nowadays several hormonal protocols developed to deal with timed ovulation/mating in camels with high success. The latest regimens developed by colleagues in UAE and India  mainly focus on using GnRH to achieve the goal, however the size of preovulatory follicles at the time of treatment should be considered. which is why you need to perform repeated mating/insemination when using theses GnRH-based protocols.

Concerning using CIDRs, there is controversy in the literature regarding the success of this technique to control ovarian activity especially during the breeding season, where controlling ovarian activity varied from complete failure to controlling only the size of existing follicles but not their numbers by the end of treatment (CIDR removal). 

From our experience in Egypt, we investigated several hormonal protocols to time ovulation in dromedaries subjected to hormonal enhancement of ovarian activity at different times (i.e. off the breeding season, the transition period) as well during the breeding season, and all of which relies on application of CIDRs for different periods of time (short or long).

In conclusion, application of the progesterone priming for short periods (e.g. 10 days) is not sufficient to suppress the ovarian activity especially during the breeding season. However, extending the period of CIDR retention for 13-15 days efficiently suppresses ovarian activity (both number and size of follicles), which ensures that after the device withdrawal a new follicular wave will emerge. We also recommend treating the camels with at least 750 µg PGF2 alpha one day before CIDR removal and you can perform fixed time mating/insemination 12-14 days later.

The problem is that some of our Naqa (cow camels) are not getting pregnant, though their BCS is medium and health status is okey. It is peak of breeding season but they are repeating cycle and remain empty. As camel is induced ovulatory, the bull should work as induction of ovulation but not yet here in this case. If GnRh is really working as per Sharif says, what is the best dose, protocol and trade name etc. I can start experiment with 5 camels at least.

usually 20 micro grams of a GnRH analog (gonadorelin) is effective in dromedaries to induce ovulation when mature preovulatory follicles (10 - 20 mm in diameter) are present. 

however, it seems that you have a situation prevailing here.

perhaps if you provide more detailed information i may try to be more helpful to overcome any reproductive disorder or at least to put you on the right direction; these are in terms of the type of management, breeding system, feed stuff, the sex ratio during the breeding season, is this the first time you observed this phenomenon?, what is the normal conception rate (range) for the past 2 breeding seasons? do you perform regular semen analysis for the males or you just use the blindly? 

if you are sure that you don't have a reproductive disorder in the herd i, and you just intend to try to apply artificial insemination technique for the first time in you farm. this is another matter, and perhaps i can give you a simple protocol that you can apply in field in addition to some guidance based on our experience in this field. just let me know.

IU of hCG (Profasi, EIPICO, ARE). Rectal examination is carried

of functioning CL (8 days post hCG injection), all females are
