Authorities have proven that "The subtalar joint neutral assessment model was likely irrelevant for prescribing foot orthotics and the continued use of neutral position is an impediment to the advancement of the understanding of foot function".

I am one of these because:

1. STJ Neutral biomechanics minimizes the importance of underpinning biomechanical forefoot pathology

2. Custom foot orthotics cast in subtalar joint neutral position fail to place the weighted foot into subtalar joint neutral

3. keeping the subtalar joint in its neutral position, if it could be accomplished, would be harmful to task performance of human movement.

What I have yet to see is replacement methodology for STJ Neutral Biomechanics hypotheses and clinical care surface as mainstream.

If you have appropriately abandoned STJ Neutral Biomechanics as prehistoric, what have you replaced it with?
