It's my guess that this is no different from the glycerol sold by lab supply companies but I was curious to see if anyone has tried using store-bought glycerin to freeze bacteria for cryo-storage before.
I have big culture collection of microorganisms. I use autoclaving before you can see it in many articles. But once I try oven and see that oven more better. Just 170'C for 45min or 1hour and ready, no any problem during this.
Hello, 99.5 % purity is quite good for cryoconservation but not use autoclave use oven for sterelisation, and also glycerol concentration is important not use above 20% for culture cryoconservation because it toxic for them in high concentrations.
