The social concern of school related gender based violence has been trending lately in various education research journals and discussions around psycho-social well being of learners. I need clarity on how this issue concerns the field of inclusive education?

I used to live in a Country that spent millions euros in that problem, and also in integration. During 20 years I did not see any progress. Always kill women, always I saw racism in school. I hope really one day they find a solution to this social reality

I would answer yes. Inclusive education is not only about helping students with special needs (as professor Kyriaki Messiou would point out), inclusive education is about increasing well-being for all students. Also, physical violence can be considered an extreme kind of bullying, and some researchers (e.g. Helle Rabøl) considers bullying a more extreme kind of marginalisation or social exclusion which is linked to lower levels of well-being according to much research (e.g. The National Survey on Well-Being in Denmark).
I would look at two factors specifically in relation to inclusive education and violence: 1) The relationship with the main teacher, and 2) the degree of parental involvement.
There is evidence within bullying research that parental involvement functions as a buffer against school bullying. I would assume that the same would apply to physical violence in school. Also, according to much quantitative research the relationship with the main teacher (or teachers in general) is important to promote positive peer interactions in school.
Well, schools in Colombia also face this problem. But, when we plan an academic curriculum from inclusive education it is necessary to take into account different approaches: inclusion from learning needs: sensory, cognitive and mobility. Inclusion for ethnic groups, for immigrants and for gender violence. Of course, we have to reflect on this, every day we need to work on this topic into the classroom, also with families and our teachers. I teach in a high school with teenagers, they have some of the characteristics I have mentioned. And the bullying towards students who show lesbian or homosexual behavior is very remarkable. The society in which we live does not accept at all when women prove to have more power or representation than men. Then, we are faced with a kind of mental illness: depression, anxiety and suicidal ideation. Thanks to think on my opinion. Any other think, tell me.
