I have recently received a invitation from the journal "Current Pharmaceutical Bio-technology" to submit a research article. As i didn't received any invitation before. so, is it normal to to receive such invitations or is it a big thing ???
It is not a big deal. For example, the editor or guest editor is working on a special issue, and they do search on the subject and find out you have worked on it, so they send you an email asking for your contribution.
Bindu Modi Yes, I am not talking about spam journals, I received invitation of SCIE listed journal. where I have already published my one review article, is it normal for SCI listed journals also ??
It is also normal I guess. I think our email will be registered in their server. I published one research article in Romania journal, and after that paper published I got invitation to submit other article in upcoming journal issues.
It's normal to receive invitations from journals, be it a predatory journal or an SCIE-indexed journal, the latter, however, is a big deal. So congratulations.
Nonetheless, this could also imply that the journal in question has received fewer submissions than before, and are doing this to maintain their impact factor.
Milad Shirvaliloo they are inviting for special thematic issue. I guess, that is the reason they invited me. as i already have paper published in same journal on same topic.
No, not at all. In fact, new Journals don't receive enough get enough MSS. Also that they need diversity & want more people to publish with them so that they can charge. Very often they give you part or full discount/waiver if requested.
Bueno a veces es normal que te envien invitaciones las editoras, como se sabe muchas de ellas son particulares y cobran una subvención económica las cuales viven de las publicaciones o investigaciones nuestras, por eso tener mucho cuidado a quien envias tus articulos.
No, it's not a big deal. You can get invitation from national and international journal. Sometime, they have special issue and sometime they ask for general issue. Mostly such journal have huge publication charges
