The problem is the effective model QM maths we use which fails to describe physically (real) the quantum micro-world as it is? It is not the quantum micro-world that is weird but it is due to the nonphysical artificial man-made QM framework created by us to describe the quantum world. QM is not a physical ontological model theory.

Is this maybe the source of many of the problems and unanswered question we have about the quantum world? And that many problems are not real but artificial and induced by the model and its incompleteness and inability to describe physically (as it is in reality) the quantum micro-world?
