Is "stepped normalized collisional energy" available in Orbitrap Elite?

Hi,

according to a pdf by Thermo, advertising the features of the Orbitrap Elite, stepped collisional energy is also available for this instrument. I always thought that this way of fragmentation is only active in the Exactive series.

Any insights?

Most likely. The LTQ Orbitrap XL does. When you are setting up a method, go to the Orbitrap tab at the top of the instrument set up page. The drop down menu should have the stepped collision energy. Hope this helps.
