Is pressure poisson equation different from the pressure correction equation that i derived from continuity?

I am trying to apply SIMPLE of Patankar but I have problems related to having too big values of pressure correction. Is pressure poisson equation different from the pressure correction equation that i derived from continuity? Because I saw a lot of text about Pressure Poisson Equation but it seems different.
