Dear All,
For turbulent pipe flow, I used "exponntial discretization" explained in Patankar (Finite Volume Method - SIMPLE velocity pressure coupling). My problem is, pressure correction values are too big at the initial steps for steady state solution. Although this big values correct the velocity field logically, I cannot add them to pressure values to have a pressure field since velocity calculations in next cycle diverge. So I am currently underrelax pressure correction with 0.001! But this time, pressure converges at halfway before reaching the correct field. For instance, it should approach to 6 delta P but I get 3.5 for laminar flow and it should get close to 0.9 delta P while I have 0.6 for turbulent flow (inlet to outlet).
