We understand that physical exercises and the use of physical modalities are effective in the treatment of many mental health issues with the attendant complications. There are enough evidence that most complications sequel to pharmacological management of mental health conditions are amenable to physiotherapy. However, physiotherapy is not often a treatment of choice in many of these areas where there is evidence of efficacy. Many mental health institutions do not involve physiotherapist into their mental health team. Is there any reason for this or it is a professional oversight?
