Natural Gas is historically injected into oil reservoirs for pressure maintenance, known as secondary oil recovery in reservoir engineering terminology. Natural Gas is recently replaced with other gases, e.g. CO2, to meet both pressure maintenance and CCS objectives. On the other side, Natural gas has found more interest as alternate fossil fuel and petrochemical feed. My question is how economical will natural gas injection be in these conditions?
