Is micro-CT scan analysis able to detect the oxide layer on a titanium sheet or cylinder? what about determining its thickness?

I have a cylindrical sample made from Ti6Al4V powder by SPS technique. I want to coat the lateral surface of this cylinder and measure the coating's thickness, but before the coating process i did a micro-CT test and it showed a thickness around the lateral surface equal to 30 micrometer. is this correct? and is this test able to show the oxide layer and its thickness?
