Mouse embryonic stem cell medium usually contains supplementation of MEM nonessential amino acid.
I am wondering whether MEM nonessential amino acid essential for culturing mouse ES cells. Is there any paper showed that mouse ES cells can be cultured without MEM nonessential amino acid.

No, it's not essential. You can grow mouse ESCs without it. It completely depends on the system you are using, feeders vs feeder free, serum vs serum replacer etc.
What do you use? Knockout DMEM + FBS + LIF? Or something more modern?

The medium I use contain Glasgow Minimum Essential Medium (GMEM; Invitrogen), 15% ES cell qualified fetal bovine serum (FBS; Invitrogen), 100 mM sodium pyruvate (Invitrogen), 0.055 mM β-mercaptoethanol (Sigma), 0.1 mM MEM nonessential amino acid (NEAA, Invitrogen) and 1,000 units/ml of leukaemia inhibitory factor (LIF) (Millipore).
And there is no feeders.
Can I know the reference or paper that showed mouse ES cells can be cultured without MEM nonessential amino acid? I want to know its recipe, Thanks.

"ES cell culture. ES cells were cultured as described by Rathjen and
Rathjen (52) in ES cell medium [DMEM with high glucose and no
HEPES (Life Technologies no. 11995-065) supplemented with 10%
fetal calf serum (FCS), 40 g/ml gentamycin (Pharmacia and Upjohn),
0.1 mM -mercaptoethanol (-ME; Sigma Aldrich), and
1,000 units mouse LIF (produced as described in Ref. 51)]"
There are many older papers that never used NEAA, even without feeders.
