I am wondering whether STATA already has a functionality to estimate latent class model for binary choice data. And further, latent class with class membership model. Which version of STATA should be used then?
Marija, there is a STATA command for fitting latent class models called lclogit.. lclogit will provide the parameter estimates. You will also find some useful post-estimation commands like lclogitpr and lclogitml. Please see https://www.stata-journal.com/article.html?article=st0312 for details. You can also find more resources from the STATA mailing list.
I am not sure if STATA version will be an issue as long as you use the updated versions of the packages that the command uses..
2) there is a new version called lclogit2, which has more features, is much faster, and, if I remember correctly, allows for direct computation of WTP values.
Hi Marija. Which which version of Stata are you working on this? I tried to install the lclogit2 in Stata 17 but it did not work. Any help is appreciated. Thank you! Marija Bockarjova
