I want to determine the protein concentration of microbial biomass. In your publication I see that you use the method of kjeldhal but this method determines total nitrogen and through a factor converts it into proteins. Do you make any corrections, taking into account that the chitin in the fungal wall has nitrogen, or is the concentration negligible?

Yes it is predictable by Kjeldahl method to measure total nitrogen (Nessler reagent) after removing non-protein ingredients by
boiling samples in 0.5% of trichloroacetic acid for 15 min

we have used the Bradford method for protein concentration determination in Aspergillus spp.
It is still the standard or the golden standard for protein value determination
