During a proposal defence PG seminar presentation recently argument arose on eligibility of RGDP in place of ordinary GDP as a one of the growth variables. Can real GDP be used as a dependent variable to measure economic growth or growth of a domestic economy? Pls your answer(s) should give sufficient reasons for your stance. How is real GDP different from normal GDP IN modelling growth of the economy?
