Over the years of working with people mostly Nigerians of diverse tribes and tongues , I have come to understand that peoples make by way of character can hardly change even when they are born again Christians or highly religious people.why is it so?
In civilized society of America and western Europe organizations , institutions and individuals take serious referee reports, since they are more aware and concerned.
Kumar , you are right to a certain or greater degree and a lot of lessons to LDCs on the need to change fro the better.
My mentor/lecturer/academic father, Prof William Okefie Uzoaga, was right when he told us in one of his Bank MANAGEMENT Lectures IN 1987 and n that special class of 42 great men like , Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi(present governor of Enugu State), Ifeoma Uzor(now Mrs Nwobodo and fmr Chief of Staff, Enugu State), Benjamin Ananma(CBN, Lagos), N.D. Ananma, Ben's cousin brother and CEO/MD of one of the merged commercial banks under Mal Sanusi as CBN Governor, now Emir of Kano, Drs:Joseph Nosa, late, and T.A . Ngerebo(A/Professor, RUST, PH), Mr Kanu, astute commercial banker, Mr Alasan, Prof Sebastian O. Uremadu, MOUAU, Umuahia, Abia State, etc , that when one has lost his or her character that that person or individual is finished and can never be trusted. Most people in my region these days cannot be trusted because they are of changing character and do not tell the truth, they cover the truth and yet some of them carry Bible or Koran and also claim to be preachers/pastors/imams! Judge yea them by their dispositions. One CEO/President of a higher institution somewhere in SSA was forced to say, ''most workers here graduated from universities of lies'' and he was and he is still right!, Hausas would say, KWARAKWOO! and Yorubas would equally ask , SHOGBOO? wHILE Igbos of SE Nigeria would quip, OBU EZI OKWU! We need a change in our world of today. Thank you.
Each persons character is different, some good, some not so good. Trickery is used widely, especially in politics. People many times hide behind something that is known as good, as a way of making themselves appear as trustworthy. Are a persons intentions good for all or just themselves, or are a persons intentions not good at all. These are questions to ask.
