Polythene banned by the Indian government at district level in the shops of small retailers is a good initiative, but is it possible to overcome plastic pollution by this until unless large manufacturers will continue to manufacturing of polythene and poly bags? Should this type of manufacturing unit also be banned? If the origin will be banned , local public will never be able to use such kind of plastic bags which are hazardous for environment. Justify please.
Not,It is not sufficient to ban polythene to control pollution,first of all we have banned the industries,local wholesalers etc,but after banning the industries the another problem is rise i.e., unemployment.To solve this problem the government should take necessary steps to control this. We have used polythene for daily uses instead of this biodegradable bags or paper bags are used.
Dear Piyush it is a good initiative but not sufficient to overcome the plastic pollution.So to overcome the plastic pollution we should first make the mass aware about the consequences of plastic pollution on human health as well as plants and animal health. If the common people become aware about it, then they will not use and through the plastic as they are using and throwing today. And secondly there should be a legal boundation on the plastic manufacturer to recycle the plastic used by the people. This type of initiative has been taken by Maggie manufacturer. They are giving a maggie , if you will provide them 9 used packets and i think it will help alot.
