if I have two replications, I can easily get a third replication by estimating the average of these two replications. I would like to ask; is this scientifically acceptable?. I mean is there a cheat in doing this?
'Replication' and 'estimation' are totally different things, in Statistics. Taking the average of first two, just to get third one, as a 'replication' is not correct. Each 'replication' should be independent 'observation'/ experiment.
