I'm afraid IHC will not work. To find a network for a de novo gene, the most straightforward way is to knockout or over-express it, and perform microarray or RNA-seq. Then you can predict the relative pathways this gene is involved.

Hi Ji Li,

I completely agree with Han Zhang. You also can do Mass spectrometry after Co_IP with your gene of interest. You can overexpress your gene and then do the mass-spec to identify the interacting partner of your target.
